I recently came across two articles which fascinated me - one was science research and the other a news article. I found them so fascinating that I posted the contents to share with my friends.
The first first article was that scientific research has shown that rats, when given a choice of saving another rats from pending doom OR being able to take a reward , will opt for saving the fellow rat. Now how fascinating is that! I think that is a Wow moment right there !
The other article, which was a news article, was about a pedestrian , who was knocked over in the province of Kwazulu Natal in South Africa, my home country. Sadly, a number of motorists drove over the dead pedestrian but not one motorist stopped to help! How sad is that? How do people do that?
So on the one hand , rats are prepared to help rats but on the other hand, humans, the top of the foodchain, the highest form of intelligence on this planet (perceived), will actually drive over a dead body and not even stop!
The thought repulses me.
And here is the kicker, of all my friends on facebook, who comment freely to beautiful images and positive affirmations, NOT ONE person responded to an article I posted ....about humans not caring about humans.
Very sad, very funny as well, but really, really sad :-(
